Halloween 2023 at Cyherbia Botanical Park was an unforgettable weekend filled with mystery, laughter, and adventure! Families from all over Cyprus gathered to celebrate the spooky season with games, quests, shows, and plenty of surprises. From ghost hunting in the woodland to medieval wizard tricks in the tower, this year’s event offered something magical for every age.
Woodland Adventures 🌲👻
The enchanted woodland was buzzing with excitement:
- Wooden Carnival Games – Families tested their skills at Nerf gun shooting, cheeseboard ball challenges, ring toss, and ladder ball.
- Apple Bobbing – A classic Halloween tradition that had everyone laughing.
- Ghost Hunting Quest & Storytelling – Entertainers dressed as Ghostbusters led kids on a thrilling quest to “bust” ghosts hanging from the trees. Each ghost carried a riddle to solve, guiding children to the final storytelling area for a spooky tale.
- LARP Adventure – Kids dressed up as evil knights or ghouls for a live-action role play filled with imagination and fun.
Magical Encounters ✨
- Herb Garden Quest – Children searched for hidden witches’ hats scattered among the herbs.
- The Tower Trickster – A medieval wizard wowed guests with the classic “coin under the cups” trick. Visitors explored feely boxes filled with mysterious objects and took photos with a medieval backdrop. Lucky winners who guessed correctly kept their coin as a prize.
- The Maze – Hidden around every corner were Mud Man, pumpkin scarecrows, and witches waiting to surprise brave adventurers.
Performances on Stage 🎭
The Halloween stage was alive with captivating performances that brought even more energy to the festival:
- Steampunk Alchemy Show by Zanete – A spectacular mix of science, fantasy, and theatrical fun.
- Witches Dance Performance – A spooky and enchanting dance by a talented group.
- Battle for Honor LARP – Knights clashed in an epic live-action role play, thrilling both children and adults.
