🎃 Halloween Fantasy Event at Cyherbia – October 2021
Halloween 2021 at Cyherbia Botanical Park was nothing short of magical! On October 30–31, families from all over Cyprus gathered to celebrate the spooky season with creativity, adventure, and plenty of fantasy fun. From pumpkin-headed scarecrows to witchy potions and broomstick races, this year’s event brought the perfect mix of cozy autumn vibes and thrilling surprises.
Highlights from the Woodland
The enchanted woodland set the stage for spooky adventures and magical encounters:
- Photo Corner at the Witch Cottage – Families captured Halloween memories in a specially decorated photo spot.
- Storytelling with Markella – Visitors enjoyed captivating tales, with sessions in both Greek and English.
- The Giant Spider’s Web – A creepy-crawly challenge where kids braved the oversized web.
- Potion & Wish Bottle Making – Children crafted their own magical bottles with herbs, berries, beads, and written wishes, sealed with googly-eyed corks.
- Broomstick Race – Young witches and wizards raced to prove their flying skills.
Spooky Fun in the Maze
The giant hedge maze transformed into a world of mystery and adventure:
- Pumpkin-Headed Scarecrows – Two stationary scarecrows watched silently… while one “living scarecrow” surprised visitors by moving when approached!
- The Four Thieves Vinegar Quest – Children searched for hidden ingredients and reported back to the eerie plague doctor on the tower, earning a sachet of tea as a reward.
- The Witch Doctor’s Apothecary – At the tower, visitors explored creepy feel-boxes and apothecary displays, snapping photos with the witch doctor among ancient props.
Mysteries in the Herb Garden
The herb garden was full of secrets waiting to be uncovered:
- Hidden Broomstick Hunt – Children searched for broomsticks with letters attached. When combined, they spelled out the spooky word SPIDER (ΑΡΑΧΝΗ).
Creative Competitions
To add even more excitement, visitors were invited to join our Best TikTok Competition. Guests created their funniest or scariest TikToks during pumpkin carving or the fantasy event. Winners received a Cyherbia gift bag and free entrance tickets—a perfect way to keep the Halloween magic going!
