How To Use Essential Oils

Externally: In 5 ml carrier oil, add 1 drop of essential oil and apply and massage where needed on the skin.

Internally: Only certain oils are suitable for internal use but great care must be taken as they are very potent and can cause harm. Consult your herbalist for safe internal use of essential oils.

How to store essential oils: Essential oils should always be kept in a cold dark place. Keep them out of reach of children. Always keep them in their original glass bottles or in other glass bottles of your preference. Never bottle them in a plastic bottle, as essential oils eat through plastic and will create a mess on your shelves.

Some tips on using essential oils:

Cosmetic use: add 10 drops of rosemary oil or bay oil to your shampoo and conditioner, these oils strengthen the hair, nourish the follicles and help prevent hair loss.

Culinary uses: you can flavour a bottle of olive oil with just one drop of oregano, thyme or rosemary oil. Flavour your gin or cocktail with just one drop of essential oil

Household use: add 10 drops of essential oil of your choice to your mop water to disinfect floors. Careful around pets!

Sprinkle some drops of peppermint e.o. near doorways to keep ants away.
